Modern laboratory equipment is available in the bright, open laboratory landscapes of the plus-MINT research center. In addition to the extensive collections, the physics and chemistry laboratories, the biotechnology S1 laboratory is equipped with its own sterile bench (an S1 laboratory enables work with microorganisms and biological substances at protection level 1, for example DNA isolation, PCR or cloning). The students of the plus-MINT program have sufficient space for personal experimental setups and more complex experiments.
Students with a talent for craftsmanship also get their money's worth. In our workroom equipped with high-quality workbenches, for example, nothing is left to be desired when it comes to woodworking. The powerful air extractors transport dust and the finest particles out of the room into the open air. And if the workpiece requires larger equipment for processing, there is a circular table saw or belt sander available in our enclosed machine room, which can be used under the supervision of specialist educational staff.
