A special week lies behind Louisenlund, especially behind the primary and junior school. We welcomed 25 new girls and boys to the fifth year of secondary school. For many, however, the idyllically situated farm with its learning barn and music hall was not new territory. They already know Louisenlund from their time as Mini-Lunderinnen and -Lunder in elementary school.

But it was still exciting. At the welcome party in the music hall, they were greeted by many other children from the junior class, who welcomed their new classmates with little welcome flags. And they had prepared a short play to start with. It was about a school in which perfect people are "modeled" by artificial intelligence. Everything is strictly regulated - from learning to opinions, monitored by a wristband that stores all data. But the children in the play rebel: they don't want to be perfect, they want to learn freely, develop their own thoughts and be allowed to make mistakes. A message that wonderfully demonstrates what Louisenlund is all about: we encourage our pupils to think for themselves, remain curious and experience the freedom of learning.

We warmly welcome our new Year 5 and look forward to many discoveries and adventures together at Louisenlund!

After the new fifth graders, we were now able to welcome our youngest Louisenlund pupils: 15 proud first graders brought their school bags full of little surprises and celebrated this special day together with their families. The joy and excitement could be seen in everyone's faces - not only the children, but also their parents.

A highlight of the welcome was the story told by primary school principal Claudia Hoeschen: the story of the water-shy crocodile. At first, the little crocodile is afraid of the water - but in the course of the story, it discovers its true strength and turns into a fire-breathing dragon.

This story is more than just a fairy tale: it is a picture of the beginning of school. At the beginning, many things are new, sometimes exciting and unfamiliar. But step by step, the children grow beyond themselves, discover their abilities, previously hidden talents and develop self-confidence - just like the crocodile who becomes a dragon.
