Expressing emotions, changing perspectives - art and theater in Louisenlund

Art and theater are very important at Louisenlund. They are both a special form of expression and enable young people to show and process their emotions. Whether painting, pottery, performing arts in the junior level or theater in the older grades, dealing with a topic and its artistic realization is motivating, fun, challenges creativity and promotes the personal development of a child at any age.

Creating something special

Expressing oneself, realizing oneself - art is a large playing field in which the pupils at Louisenlund can try out and discover themselves. Capturing emotions on a canvas or processing them creatively encourages them to see the path as a goal and "just let it happen". We give our pupils of all ages the opportunity to explore their artistic streak and use their talents to create something special. In doing so, they learn to move within a space of interpretation and to articulate their own thoughts and views.

Special understanding of roles on stage and in life

It is the boards that mean the world to many people that our pupils can also tread in Louisenlund. Even in the younger years, drama plays an important role in the personal development of students. Slipping into a role in a play requires a change of perspective. In this way, theater contributes to grasping other perspectives, pursuing a goal with discipline and teaches young people to understand and accept. A stronger understanding of roles helps them to discover their own role in life and to move confidently in society. There is the prospect of double success - appreciation, trust and recognition in the community and the applause of the audience after a successful performance.
