Servant leadership - serving society consciously and voluntarily

The Louisenlund Foundation’s bylaws, adopted in 1949, state:

“The purpose of the foundation is to educate young people on a moral and intellectual foundation, shaping them into truth-loving, open-minded, fearless, self-possessed individuals who are not subject to mass instincts and who serve the community consciously and voluntarily. In doing so, the opportunities for intellectual, artistic, physical, and practical education are utilized appropriately and brought together into a harmonious whole.”

To master the challenges of tomorrow, it is crucial to see oneself as part of the (global) community and to be willing not only to take but also to invest. Since its founding, the Louisenlund Foundation has been committed to building a strong community. This enables us not only to equip young people with the tools for success in their future academic and professional lives, but also to prepare them to become active and responsible members of society.

Louisenlund is a place where individuals can flourish—people who have the courage to take on responsibility and voluntarily serve the community.
